The successful partnership between the Jungfrau Railway and INTECH-ICS AG is once again bearing fruit: the existing, state-of-the-art locker system at Interlaken Ost station was recently expanded with additional lockers. The new lockers offer special space for small suitcases, rucksacks and other compact luggage and ideally complement the existing options.
Familiar and simple operation
Passengers benefit from uncomplicated and familiar operation, as is already familiar from other major Zentralbahn and SBB stations. This uniformity makes it particularly easy and convenient to use.
Flexible and practical
From small handbags to larger suitcases - thanks to the expansion, the system now offers a suitable solution for every piece of luggage. The ideal addition for all travelers who want to store their luggage safely and easily.
Fast and uncomplicated payment
The locker fee is paid centrally, quickly and conveniently with CHF coins or by credit card. This saves travelers time and offers maximum convenience.
State-of-the-art technology
No more keys needed: each locker can be opened securely and easily with an individual QR code that travelers receive when using the system.
Customer service always on hand
If you lose your ticket, the trained Jungfrau Railway team will be there to help you. For a small fee, they will issue you with a replacement ticket.
This expansion of the locker system was quickly implemented thanks to the proven, committed cooperation between Jungfrau Railway and INTECH-ICS AG, in order to provide passengers with an improved service as quickly as possible.

Locker systems 1 to 6 at Zermatt railroad station have been comprehensively renovated to improve convenience for travelers and conserve resources at the same time. The existing lockers were taken over and are now technically up to date, which further emphasizes the sustainability of this modernization.
Electronic payment methods for easy use
A purely electronic payment option is now available at Terminals 1 to 6, allowing travelers to pay easily by credit card or other common electronic payment methods. This step improves convenience for travelers who rely on digital payment methods and ensures simple, contactless use.
Alternative for coin payers still available
For travelers who wish to continue paying with coins, locker systems 7 to 9 will remain unchanged( you can find the report on this systemhere ). This ensures that all users - whether with a preference for cash or electronic payments - will find the right solution.
Different sizes for luggage
The locker system offers compartments in different sizes so that almost any piece of luggage can be stored. From small rucksacks to large overseas suitcases and sports equipment such as skis and snowboards - almost anything can be stored safely here.
Location and access
The lockers are located in the basement of Zermatt station, in the immediate vicinity of the WC facilities. This central location ensures that travelers can leave their luggage easily and safely before exploring the fascinating mountain world around the Matterhorn.

We are pleased to announce the installation of a brand new locker system at the Engelberg station of Zentralbahn (zb AG). This modernization completely replaces the old system and now offers even more convenience and flexibility for travelers. With a total of 34 compartments, which are also suitable for large overseas suitcases, and convenient payment by credit card, this facility sets new standards in luggage storage.

The new locker system at Engelberg station is designed to meet the diverse requirements of modern travelers. In addition to the standard lockers, the system now also offers sufficient space for large overseas suitcases, which is a great advantage for international travelers in particular. With a total of 34 lockers in various sizes, there is a suitable solution for every piece of luggage.

The RhB Samedan station has comprehensively modernized its locker system. The new system now offers the same advanced functions as the lockers in Scuol-Tarasp and other modern RhB stations.
Highlights of the new locker system:
- Standardized operation: The new payment point corresponds to the uniform operating concept of the RhB stations in Davos Dorf, St. Moritz, Thusis, Arosa and Scuol-Tarasp, recognizable by the grey compartments and red payment points.
- Versatile payment options: In addition to coin payments, card payments and Twint are now also possible to make it even easier to use.
- Keyless solution: Instead of a key, users receive a QR code on their receipt that grants access to the locker.
- Loss protection: If the receipt is lost, RhB staff can issue a duplicate on site for a small fee, so that access to your luggage is guaranteed.
This modernization significantly improves the convenience and user-friendliness of the locker system. The installation was carried out quickly and efficiently thanks to the solution-oriented cooperation of all parties involved.
